Kai and Gypsy in 1996 after their record-breaking swim across the Au'au Channel between Lanai and Maui. Owner Steve Fisher trained with the dogs and swam the entire distance with them under the watchful eyes of an escort boat and with full knowledge of the Maui Humane Society.
